Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to keep you signed in, and to remember your choices. A cookie cannot run programs or carry viruses. This policy explains how SecuritComply, operated by SecuritAI Technologies Ltd., uses them.

What we use today

SecuritComply uses essential cookies, which the site needs in order to function, and one analytics cookie category that is off until you accept it. The essential cookies are:

  • A session cookie that keeps you signed in after you log in.
  • A security cookie used to protect against cross-site request forgery.
  • A small local storage value that remembers you have seen our cookie notice, so we do not show it on every visit.

Essential cookies do not track you across other websites and are not used for advertising. Because they are strictly necessary to deliver a service you have asked for, they do not require prior consent under Canadian privacy law.

What we do not use

We do not set advertising cookies, and we do not use cross-site profiling or retargeting cookies. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertising networks. The only non-essential cookie we set is the Google Analytics measurement cookie described below, and only after you accept it.

Analytics, only with your consent

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which of our marketing pages are useful, for example how many people read a framework guide and which pages they arrive on. It is a non-essential cookie category, so it is switched off until you choose “Accept all”in our cookie banner. If you choose “Essential only”, or simply ignore the banner, no Google Analytics cookie is set and no script from Google is loaded at all.

Google Analytics tells us how the site is used in aggregate. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, we do not sell the data, and it is never used to identify you personally.

To change your mind, clear this site’s data in your browser. The banner will appear again on your next visit and you can choose differently. Blocking cookies in your browser also prevents it.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please note that if you block the essential session cookie, you will not be able to sign in to the SecuritComply dashboard, because that cookie is required to keep you authenticated.

Canadian privacy law

We follow the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Quebec's Law 25 (An Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information). Our approach of setting only essential cookies by default, and asking for your consent before any non-essential cookie such as Google Analytics, is designed to align with these laws. For how we handle personal information more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.
