What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to keep you signed in, and to remember your choices. A cookie cannot run programs or carry viruses. This policy explains how SecuritComply, operated by SecuritAI Technologies Ltd., uses them.
What we use today
SecuritComply currently uses only essential cookies. These are the cookies the site needs in order to function, and they include:
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in after you log in.
- A security cookie used to protect against cross-site request forgery.
- A small local storage value that remembers you have seen our cookie notice, so we do not show it on every visit.
Essential cookies do not track you across other websites and are not used for advertising. Because they are strictly necessary to deliver a service you have asked for, they do not require prior consent under Canadian privacy law.
What we do not use
We do not set advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party tracking or cross-site profiling cookies today. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
If we add analytics later
If we introduce analytics or any non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy first and present a consent banner that lets you accept or decline before any such cookie is set. We will not enable non-essential cookies without giving you that choice.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please note that if you block the essential session cookie, you will not be able to sign in to the SecuritComply dashboard, because that cookie is required to keep you authenticated.
Canadian privacy law
We follow the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Quebec's Law 25 (An Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information). Our approach of using only essential cookies, and asking for consent before any non-essential cookie, is designed to align with these laws. For how we handle personal information more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.
